I have had these pictures of two fascinating desks, torn from Wall Street Journal Magazine, for quite a while now but I finally got around to sharing them here. Take a moment to check out all of the curiosities on these desks...I find them quite intriguing!
...well, hold the ketchup, at least for now. Can you tell I'm in a silly mood today? :) Maybe it's the leaves in all shades of yellow, gold and orange that have been crunching underfoot lately, but mustard yellow has been top of mind. Here are a few that I thought were worth sharing:
I also came across these two inspirations which I thought were uber-cool. Check them out:
If you're interested, a while back I did a post inspired by sunflower yellow which was similar. If you liked this post, I thought you might like to see that one too!
Hi Everybody! How was your weekend? A trip to the pumpkin patch and our lazy Sunday were very rejuvenating. I'm now ready to tackle my to do list for the week. That got me thinking about beautiful places to work creatively.
I have done posts in the past about workspaces, but this one can really stand on its own. You have probably seen offices by Nate Berkus before, but have you seen this one? It was new to me and talk about intriguing! Wow.
I don't know about all of you, but our Sunday will be a very lazy one: cozying up inside, maybe watching a movie and just enjoying each other's company after a very busy week! It's times like this that I am so happy that I enjoy design, so I can create a space for our family that we can re-charge in. Of course, as with most people who love design, my own home's rooms are never "done" so I am always looking for new inspirations. And...I don't want to sacrifice style just to make it kid friendly and make room for the TV! I am constantly on the lookout for rooms that strike that perfect balance of livability and beauty. Here are a few of my favorites:
I love all of the light in this room and those gorgeous ottomans!
This room looks a bit formal for a family room to watch TV, but it would be a great place to curl up and read a book!
Such a beautiful mix of pillows in this room...
I'm a huge fan of half walls like this one - great storage below, display space above and yet light still flows throughout. Lovely! (the room beyond ain't bad either ;))
What is most important to you in a family space? Hope you have a wonderful Sunday, however you choose to enjoy it!
